A gem of a B& B in Highpoint, NC
Headed to or through Highpoint, NC this year? If so, make a reservation at the J.H. Adams Inn and you’re sure to have a fabulous stay. This is one of our favorite hidden gems of the South and is by far our favorite place to stay while in the area. If you’re lucky enough to meet Mena Fretteoloso while you’re there she’ll tell you all about the history of Highpoint, Highpoint University, and, most importantly, where to get fabulously exquisite furniture at a great price!
The Inn is housed in an Italian Renaissance-style mansion dating from 1918, this upscale hotel is less than 1 mile from a high concentration of furniture shops and 3.1 miles from Interstate 74.
The elegant, individually decorated rooms and suites, some of which have original features, have period-style fine furnishings, and plush beds with Egyptian cotton linens. They all come with free Wi-Fi, TVs and minifridges. Some have whirlpool tubs, wet bars or balconies; suites add separate living space.
Free perks include continental breakfast and evening wine. There's also a gym, and a refined restaurant offering a wine bar and al fresco courtyard dining.
Make certain to stop by the Theodore Alexander Outlet on your shopping adventure. Their prices are far below retail and you might just snag a piece that’s been on the front of Veranda magazine.
Enjoy your stay and please tell Mena the Isley’s said hello!
